ARKSEN-2-ton-hydraulic-engine-hoist
This engine hoist is distributed by a company called Arksen. Tool is a regular hydraulic engine hoist and can be used to lift engines, transmissions of a car and other heavy objects. The engine hoist has got numerous useful features that eases the lifting process such as a high capacity hydraulic jack, 6 swivel casters, adjustable boom, chain and a hook and few other advantages. Arksen engine lift has got a foldable design that allows for an easier storage. Tool is easy to use for lifting heavy loads.

Frame

This engine lift has got total of 2 ton (4000 lb) capacity that decreases when the boom is extended. This is a decent lifting capacity and will suite most regular engine blocks and transmissions. The hoist can be used by an occasional repairer as well as a professional car mechanic. The hoist is made from durable, heavy duty steel tubes from ¼ inch (6.3 mm) thick plates. All parts have been welded together to make a durable tool that can withstand high loads.

ARKSEN-engine-hoist-folded

As mentioned engine hoist features a foldable design and can be easily folded for storage, which is useful for those who have small space at their work place.

Jack

Hoist is equipped with a high capacity hydraulic jack. The jack is capable of lifting up to 2 ton (4000 lb) heavy loads such as engine blocks. To lift a load hydraulic jack has got a long pumping bar with a soft end that makes lifting of a load more comfortable. For lowering a load there is a bleed valve on the bottom of the jack similar as you will spot on other hydraulic jacks. The jack also has got an automatic pump overload system that does not allow to over pump the hydraulic jack so it does not damage the jack itself, the whole lifter or the load lifted.

Legs and wheels

The lifter features a two leg design, both legs can be detached and folded for storing the hoist. Engine hoist has got 6 ball bearing casters that all can be rotated 360 degrees around. This increases the maneuverability of the hoist, which is useful if you have a limited space, because hoist can be moved in any direction.

Boom

Arksen engine hoist features an adjustable boom with 4 adjustment positions:

  1. 2 ton (4000 lb);
  2. 1.5 ton (3000 lb);
  3. 1 ton (2000 lb);
  4. ½ ton (1000 lb).

Engine hoist also has got a heavy duty chain and a hook at the end of the boom, where lifting chains or a load leveler can be attached. The length of closed boom is 42 inches (1 m) and length of an opened boom is 63.5 inches (1.6 cm). The lifting range with closed boom from ground is 75.2 inches (1.91 m) and with fully extended boom 90.6 inches (2.3 m) from ground.

Size and weight

The dimensions of Arksen engine lifter in working position are 36x63x62 inches (91.4x160x157.5 cm) and in folded position 31x39x50 inches (78.7x99x127 cm). The weight of the tool is approx. 172 lb (78 kg).
