Hein-Werner HW93778 engine stand
This engine stand is manufactured under the trusted Hein-Werner brand however it is distributed by Shinn Fu Company of America aka SFA Company who have been providing South and North American customers with lifting equipment for past 40 years. This particular Hein-Werner engine stand is a reliable engine stand that is able to securely hold smaller engine blocks and that lets you comfortably work on them because of the many different features of the engine stand.

Construction

The material used to make this HW93778 engine stand is heavy gauge steel that is welded into square tubular shape giving the steel the ability to hold a lot of weight for long period of time without distorting or bending it. In fact this stand can hold engines that weight up to 5/8 ton (1250 lb) without any problems or difficulties meaning that you can use this engine stand for small to medium size engine blocks to hold them while doing repairs.

Although the engine stand comes disassembled it is made so that it is easy to assemble. And thanks to the sturdy construction of it the stand is easy to move around even when a 1250 lb. block is placed on it.

Mounting plate and arms

This engine stand features a head that can be rotated 360 degrees with the help of a 22.5 inch long black handle that is designed for easier engine rotation. And the head can also be easily locked in place in any position using the lock pin so that you can position the engine you are working on anyway you like or need for easier access.
And the 9.5 by 6 inch big and ¾ inches thick mounting plate comes with 4 adjustable mounting arms makes it easy to attach any engine block of the given capacity to this engine stand and repair it comfortably.

Legs and wheels

Hein-Werner HW93778 engine stand is made in single leg design that extends into 4 smaller leg prolongations at the bottom and 4 casters – one under each of them – which is why it is stable enough to support bigger engines. Each of the 4 casters have 3 inch wheels that makes this engine stand secure and to be easily and freely maneuvered even longer distances if necessary.

Size and weight

This engine stand weights about 79 pounds making it light enough to be easily moved but still stable and secure enough to be used to hold engine blocks. And even though the design of this HW93778 engine stand is not foldable, it still is only about 37.8×10.4×39.8 inches (96×26.4×101 cm) in size, so it won’t take up that much space even when not used.
