Strongway hydraulic engine hoist
Strongway engine hoist is a high capacity engine lifter that can lift loads up to 2 tons (4000 lb). This is a heavy duty tool that can be used not only to lift engines, but also other parts of a car such as transmissions, gearboxes and can also be used in other places such as construction sites or warehouses to lift heavy items. This hoist comes with a ¾ ton (1500 lb) load leveler that will be useful to stable and level a load such as engine, to provide safe and stable lifting.

Frame

Frame of the engine hoist is made from a heavy duty steel, that can withstand high loads. The construction of the hoist is durable, stable and allows lifting loads with ease. The hoist comes disassembled in a box, so you will need to assemble it. Assembly and usage instructions are included with the unit, so assembly of the tool should not rise any problems. Strongway 2 ton engine lifter has got a foldable design that allows for an easy storage when hoist is not used. On the sides of the hoist there are two support plates for additional durability and on the back of the hoist is a moving handle with soft, rubber grips to move a hoist with lifted load easer.

Jack

For lifting this engine hoist has got a 6 ton (12000 lb) hydraulic jack. This is a heavy duty ram that won’t fail even when lifting the highest loads. To ensure that the hydraulic ram continue to work properly for long time there are some usage and maintenance tips you should know. An air purge procedure will need to be performed from time to time, as well as filling or replacing oil of the jack. Before lifting a load make sure that the release valve is closed and if not, close it by turning the valve clockwise. If release valve is not closed, the lifter will not be able to lift a load. Attach lifting chains to the hoist, lift the load a bit and make sure that it is properly centered. An engine leveler that comes with the hoist will help to center a load on the hoist. To lift a load pump the handle and to lower a load slowly and carefully open the release valve by turning it counter clockwise.

Legs and wheels

This engine hoist has got two foldable legs and 6 steel casters. Each of the caster can be turned 360 degrees around, so the engine hoist can be moved in practically any direction. Casters of the stand are durable and will move freely even when lifter is carrying a load. 6 wheels will not only provide easy movement of the hoist, but also gives it additional stability with higher loads.

Boom

Strongway hydraulic engine hoist is equipped with an adjustable boom that can lift total of 2 tons (4000 lb) and has got 4 adjustment positions:

  1. 2 ton (4000 lb), 36 inch (91 cm) length;
  2. 1.5 ton (3000 lb), 42 inch (106 cm) length;
  3. 1 ton (2000 lb), 49 inch (124 cm) length;
  4. 1/2 ton (1000 lb), 55 inch (139 cm) length.

Load leveler

The lifting range with closed boom is 70 inches (1.78 meters) and with extended boom – (2.1 meters). The boom has got a chain and a hook. You can attach the load leveler that came with the hoist to the end of the hook.

The dimensions of Strongway hydraulic engine hoist in a working position are approx. 65x40x52 inches (165x101x132 cm) and in a folded position approx. 29x30x61 inches (74x76x155 cm). The weight of the lifter is 184 lb (83 kg).
