Torin T25671 engine stand review
This is another high quality product from well-known manufacturer – Torin. This one of their smallest capacity engine stands but it still provides a high quality functionality. This engine stand holds up to 5/8 ton (1250 lb) of weight which is enough for small sized engines. The construction and other features allow to repair engine much easier and provides many adjustable options.
The Torin T25671 engine stand has a square type sturdy design which is one of three most common designs for engine stands. Construction consists of one base plate and two legs. The legs cannot be folded. It means that the engine stand will take its space whole time and you can’t place it in any other smaller size space. Engine stand is made out of high quality steel and construction is very strong and durable. It is not recommended to place engines heavier than the maximum capacity because it may cause bending of mounting arms or even construction.
Mounting plate and arms
Mounting plate of this engine stand has 4 mounting arms. They provide that engine doesn’t fall of engine stand and is rotatable for easier access to engine parts. These arms are adjustable to fit all kinds of engine blocks. The 4-bolt-hole rotating mounting head allows to move the engine 360 degrees.
Legs and wheels
This Torin engine stand is equipped with 2 non-foldable legs. It may seem a problem for some customers, but actually the size of engine stand is so small that there is not a huge need to make it smaller for storage. There are two back casters on sides of the main plate and they allow to move stand front or back. But other two swivel casters on top of construction legs allow to manoeuvre with the stand much easier.
Size and weight
The size of this engine stand is quite small for lightweight engine stands. It’s size is 35.5×9.2×7.6 inches (90x23x19 cm). The weight Torin T25671 engine stand is 61.74 lb (28 kg). Despite it’s compactness, it is stated that 5 more inches to height of this engine stand would be much better.
